What is the worstracing games in your opinion?

Hard Drivin’ on the Super Nintendo is what I always think of when thinking about terrible racers. The arcade version of this game was positively jaw-dropping when it was new in 1989. Incredibly smooth framerate, amazing-looking stunts, and for the time it had rather realistic 3D polygonal graphics. These are all things that the Super Nintendo didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of pulling off at the same time, even with a Super FX chip. But they tried to make a port anyway, even though it was doomed from the start.

The great graphics had to be totally stripped away for the game to work at all. Now every object was extremely blocky, and only had about two or three colors. You got to see a lot of nasty-looking grays, browns, and greens. Even then, the framerate was so bad it was like watching someone flip through a Power Point presentation. The game hovered around 10 FPS, but it would drop down to 3 or even 2 FPS rather often. Add on a half-second delay before your steering, acceleration, and braking inputs register, and you’ve got something that’s practically unplayable.

I disagree about the Need For Speed series being bad though. The earlier titles released in the 1990s were really quite good, mostly because of the stress on supercars and exotic locations.

i've played a lot of budget titles that were horrid, but i guess that goes with "you get what you pay for"...so i think none of em really "qualify" as crappy games...

i do thing NFS:Undercover was a crappy game (especially for the PS2)

The PS2 may be near immortal, but game quality on the system is going downhill...and fast

if more big companies wanted to support the ps2 and make games for it, they would. who knows why they don't though, because it still has 1 of the biggest followings, eventhough new game sales are declining because of the lack of decent new games

For me NFS Undercover , its really crappy , going corners over 150 mph on PC lol

Yeah, the game was freaking awesome. To sum it up its like Mario Kart with liscensed cars, customization of every car was really deep (except tuners, same body parts...). I just wish LA wasn't such a suckfest comparted for 3, physics are pretty messed up even for an arcade game and the parts look frigging retarted, like ricers came up with everything...

For me I use to think SRS was the worth racing game ever, but then I played it years later and realized I was wiping out alot back then cause I just plain didn't know how to drive... Game still sucks cause I did everything required to gain enough respect but still end up like 10 short for some stupid reason so I couldn't move on... The fact that so some cars like the MRS just plain suck reguardless of whatever parts you use is outrageous (hits 140MPH only, fully tuned...).

So that just leaves Initial D Arcade Version 4, single handedly. This games backwards physics alone make it the worst racing game of all time, running into walls to go faster? Drifting every corner just by turning, thats totally fucked up and is basicly spitting on everything you came ot believe in.

The worst would be FnF Arcade! It's very ricer games(Even R-Tuned and NFSU are ricer games those are better than FnF)

I remember that game, but havent tried it for who knows how long. at the time it was ok because it was a motor bike with somewhat force feedback in the arcade. dont know why they used harleys for a racing game instead of an actual sport bike

GT4 wasn't bad as people said it was...
I'd say GT3 was one of the worst, mainly to the lack of cars.
D1GP is weird.... I never really understood how it works....

"the real driving sim" slapped onto the title. It also had a picture with 3 peddles on the cover, but when you play it, there's no clutch function.

Haven't tried GT3, but atleast most ppl say the physics is better, eventhough it might not support more wheel functions.

Virtua Racing on Sega Genesis. 1 car, 3 tracks. It takes an hour to get used to all the damn polygons, but hey...it was the start of good graphics. The 32X version got better with two more cars and another track or two IIRC.

Saying it's one of the worst racing games ever because it's arcade isn't a valid point, because that's a matter of personal taste. For example, I love it for being an arcade game. Does that mean it's one of the greatest racer ever? No...at least outside of my personal opinion.

Secondly, you're right. You can only buy one of each car. HOWEVER, the game will allow you to make multiple versions of the same car after you buy it. So it doesn't really matter if you can't buy the same car twice.

They've always had the "the real driving simulator" on the cover.
I see you and me are going to have long arguments over if this game is good or not, since I'm a staunch GT defender.
