I'm glad to see another dedicated Tokyo Racer forum. There used to be a huge following and if you do a google search you'll see that. I think there should be a way to consolidate fans from various forums (there are quite a few of them).

Btw, are these forums supposed to include all the games in the Tokyo Xtreme Racer (aka shutokou battle) universe? If so, there should be message boards for the SNES, Saturn, PlayStation, handhelds (PSP and DS) and especially Dreamcast versions.

I would love it to be such a forum. Personally, I'm unfamiliar with the non-Playstation formats - but would be willing to work with you (or anyone else) to include them in this forum, in an organized fashion.

And personally, I'm not familiar with the Drift installment. In any case, let's hope this will be the definitive forum for fans of the series. This can only happen if we're able to unite and consolidate the various message boards that have fragmented the community and get members to contribute. Now I know these games are couple years old but the they are just as fun to play now as before. And even when you've beaten the game, you can always give your best shot in time attack and compare your best laps/runs with others. I think that's another area that should be added around here.

So just add a generalized Time Attack Area? If so, where would be a good place for it?

I would suggest it be added as one of the sections for each game. So you would have something like:

General Discussion
Fully Tuned
Test Tune
Time Attack records
Media

Eventually, it'd be good to host some FAQs and guides around here as well. I've got some I'm willing to share (like gear ratios for all the cars in TXR2).

Alright, thanks for the clarification. I do have a section in the TXRD2 (PS2) section called Track Day. I was hoping people would compete on there, comparing times, points, etc.

Only time will tell. I know there is an Official Ranking board for TXRD2, I wonder if there is one for any of the other TXR-series games....

there was for 3 awhile ago on genki site, but im pretty sure its gone now.

Not that I know of. I'm assuming though that they are divided into 4 main parts:

Tokyo
Nagoya
Osaka
Oval

You gotta do some guesswork. Click your mouse pointer to the different sections and you should see some java script. c1_o for c1 outer, c1_i for c1 inner; w_d for wangan down, w_u for wangan up, etc.
