Both games, Forza 3 and GT5 are very nice, but NASCAR being in GT5 isn't a bad thing. Recently EA announced to stop running the Nascar games, and GT capitalized on that situation. Another is that not only Nascar, but WRC is coming to 5! So the game is packed, and yes, it is the KING OF SIMS!!!!!

the car understeers weirdly no matter how you tune it.

This made me laugh because it's (mostly) true.
The only cars that don't have the problem are the ones that can take "Original" suspension tuning.
It can be remedied, but you need LOADS of cash to do it.

elevations and bumps do pretty much nothing to handling.

True to that.

There's hardly any difference between MR, FF, 4wd, etc cars since they all have the stupit snap understeer.

Not true.
FF has understeer that is counterable, due to some manipulation of the tires.
MR... Almost all the perfect cars in this game use MR. This is basically the best drivetrain.
4WD has the same problem as the FF.
Use the same remedy.
FR just sucks.
I hate driving them in here.
RR is almost like the MR cars, but there is some oversteer.

You can jam on the brakes really hard and the tires never lock.

The most blatanty wrong of your statements.
There is an option to turn off all driving aids, which basically fixes most of the problems you have stated.
I know all this because I have put at least 300 hours into this game.

the brakes, steering, etc in GT4 just sucks and you can't turn off the abs, they can't fade or jam on you, and thats a fact. Turning off tcs, and asm seems to do almost nothing. Just because you played GT4 a lot doesn't mean you know how good it is.

I've even done illegal touge runs with a corola and civic in rl without and it doesnt understeer the way GT4 does. It shouldn't take 300 hours to figure out something's wrong in a certain way when it's so obvious in the start. I've also played LFS, TXRD2, enthusia, quite a bit(mostly txrd2 most) and i would say GT4's the 1 that handles totally differently.

In fact i think it's impossible to cover all handling aspects in GT4 since theres so much wrong with it. The only sim with comparably bad physics in D1GP, which ironically would be semi decent if combined.

GT4 toe tapingly sux, regardlesss of how much you play it, if you op on it, and try to drift, do a burnout, powerskid ect ect, anything that takes the car out of its comfort zone, you can tell GT4 is freakin weird.

it should be noted that GT4 was never successful because of it's amazing simulation physics. It was successful because of really good marketing, a reputation of fan boys, easiness to play and get into, huge number of cars, graphics, etc. Most ppl play the game and can't really tell the difference between realism and arcadish handling, while others are paid for promotion reasons.

Just like the new forza features like 1 button driving, which isn't really what makes it a simulation.
