Hate to rain on everyone's parade, but it looks like all you got in response was an automated email, automatically sent out every time they get something in the inbox. That doesn't mean anybody actually read your message.
I would not get excited until I got an email that was obviously written by a real person.
True, but an automated email response is still a response. It means they at least have an email for feedback, which is still a start.
The essence of getting attention involves (a) having a way to get attention, (b) figuring out what has to be done to get attention, and (c) doing it until attention is given. I think voicing opinions for future titles is a great idea.
Let me state this again.
I THINK VOICING OPINIONS FOR FUTURE TITLES IS A GREAT IDEA!
Sure, we may be small now, but many things begin that way. And an email campaign (where everybody here and everybody who is a fan of TXR) directing opinions to Genki staff at worst means that someone has to check the email at Genki, and at best, means that their design team has ideas for the next title, straight from the gamers themselves.
Here's what I know:
A while ago, Genki tried its hand at an MMO version of TXR/Shutokou Battle, called Shutokou Battle Online. It was released in 2002 and I think had a 3-to-5 year run. If it had a base like the Playstation Online network, or the XBOX Live community, it could potentially be easy to meet and hook up with people racing online. Of course, these things do take money.
So I say, if you've got an idea, voice it. That's my 2 cents!
