In Import Tuner Challenge, there are three camera views:

In-car
Front bumper
Chase view

The in-car view is the slowest, the front bumper view goes a bit faster, and the chase view is the fastest of the views, makes you feel a lot of speed.

I like the cockpit view, but sometimes wish it was as fast as the chase view. What do you think?

I like to use the cockpit view because it feels the most realistic. It is also good because I have a steering wheel

I prefer to play with the chase view, cause so long as I race on highways, I wanna feel like I go FAST!
but I switch it sometimes for a couple of seconds, for visibility matters...

Bumper. Use it in all games that have it, unless the games have a GOOD cockpit view, a'la LFS, rFactor, Simbin games. This is because of the amount of visibility is immense, i can just point the car at the racing line.

I love the cockpit view, but I find myself using the bumper cam most of the time. It just feels faster and makes driving a lot easier. When you're driving an actual car, the interior isn't really blocking your view as much because your focus is out in front of you...it's hard to simulate a good cockpit view in a game, which is disappointing.

Some more research...

cockpit view is great if you like the view. I do like the view, but in the heat of battle, sometimes the bumper cam is better becuz the tachometer is plainly visible (and temperature readouts). I agree with TakeshiSkunk - it is hard to simulate a good cockpit view.

Since the cockpit readouts are more optimized for higher resolution (like HDTV), cockpit is great for fun, automatic cruising (or gameplay, if you're really good or have good resolution). On the other hand, bumper cam shows what you need to see, and gives a LOT of room.

I use the chase view myself, I like being able to see where the entire car is.
