All wanderers have now been outed in Racing Battle. Sometimes it just requires taking a break.
I put a lot of hours into this game completing all races for regular rivals quite awhile back, but attempting to complete the wanderers was a grueling task. There are no English language guides for that aspect of the game, so I'd gone to some Japanese fansites (linked through Genki's Racing Battle page) and filtered them through Babelfish. But as much help as that can give you, the translators can be pretty wretched, and of course we are dealing with specific terminology in a pretty cult game related to a somewhat marginal subculture...
But playing TXRD2 got me inspired to have another go at this, and lo, I made it work. The last rivals have been unlocked. Something to note about the game system. Unlike other Genki games you need to beat every rival more than once. Their are fewer rivals than the more recent chapters like TXR3 or TXRD2, something like 250, but since there are three kinds of battle, and all rivals compete in all three... you have to do better than just knock each one down once. Between Racing Point, Drift Point, and Spirit Point battles, if you can defeat a rival two out of the three types he counts as defeated in the info/BBS system and anything their defeat might trigger will work. BUT, and here is the rub for me now... you must defeat them in all contests to attain the 'completion goals'. So though I have made all wanderers appear, I still have roughly eight Drift Point battles to win to 'finish' the game. I didn't actually know until I defeated the final boss in two contests (and checked him off) that the game would still not 'end' until I'd picked up those last few scattered drift battles, but that appears to be the case.
