they always seem to brake before crossing the finish line for some reason. if u'r side by side, u'll win every time.

It's better that you just beat the rival outright rather than hoping he will brake at the last second before finishing, lol.

u don't like the dramatic side by side finishes. lol. especially when they cheat by bumping and making you spin and you catch up, or u'r driving low powered cars.



Yep, they brake essessively by coming out of corners, bump you a lot, and brake before the finish line. The only time they are a challenge is when you make a mistake, drive really low powered cars on courses without enough twists, cheat by bumping and making you spin or hit with random dirt on cars you are not used to.

that is bloody Fu##in ridiculous. i was racing against some guy on hakone nanamagari, and like i was in front and drifting like crazy (which never gives you a big lead) so they freakin bump me on the second last hairpin, i spin, they pass, i throw it around and recover, bout 10 meters behind. catch up to him on the small straight, come up on the outside to pass, i brake, he rushes in, cuts off my line, he then braked late and swung tightly inside (cutting of that way too) so then he basically blocks me for the rest and i lose DAMN YOU FREAKING CARELESS AI!!!!

I don't mind if usual rivals come with stupid AI but please...not the slashers too...and why they don't drift...!!!!arghhh!!!!. can u imagine watching a replay which u and u'r rival do some twin drift...

i can say, that for some reason, certain blocks can knock the AI out of the race. I was racing one time and he bumped into the wall. I drove like usual, and he was driving very very slow, so his sp went down fast.

Ouch.
It's stuff like that that almost ruined my undefeated streak (around 500 right now).
epic story though.
Just shows the stupidity of the AI (especially Blackout and Ground Zero).

haha it was pretty funny, my brother and i played some split screen, and even though he sucks more than me, we got some decent tandem-like drifts goin on...


Back on topic, i also find it weird that on Aso, after the first hairpin of the downhill, you go into this long straight... The AI tends to hit the brakes HARD for no reason at all

thats the thing about good multi player that seems to really help improve your skill. something the ai in this game, or any ps2 game, just sucks too much to do.

There's a problem with that when there are no real drifters around my area (Near Philadelphia.)
I just have to do it my own way.

The times we got decent tandem runs was when i drifted behind him when he was holding the Ebrake on his Daihatsu XD

but, i cant get the last three guys to appear on Aso. ive got like 5000 fans from beating supporters (if u beat them alot, you get shitloads of fans) and havnt lost to anyone and have beaten everyone except those three guys and Ground Zero, anyone know how to get them to appear??
