There are different setups posted if you search, but generally put stronger grip tires in the front, and set the front suspension softer than the rear(not too much cuz it'll kill balance and have weird effects). I don't think you can completely kill understeer in any car unless you get something that just spins way too easily which may be even harder to control.

if you need more drifting, set the torque balance to be 0:100(front/rear).

either way you should brake more with a GC8 than say a cappucinno for example because it's 4wd and heavier. and you need to work on skill and adapting to your car. I personally am not a fan of 4wd cars.

Check out the Subaru Impreza Challenge in the Challenges section - or there might be some in the Tuning section.

I can give a setup for the Ver.3 tomorrow.
Do you want drift or grip?

actually, the main remedy I've seen for the understeer problem is to adjust the torque distribution so that it's 3/7 (Front/Rear) and the front suspension and ride height -1.
I sold the Subaru I had (totally forgot I did that) and lost the setup.
I thibk I have the basic setup though due to my 22B-STI's drift-oriented tuning.
By the way, what track is it that you are going to be drifting on?
It does matter for the Subarus.

irohazaka would be the wrong road, since it's not in this game. irohazaka is the downhill 1 way touge road in real life, while this game only has the Nikko uphill section that you can drive both ways on. both roads are connected in real life and part of mt. Nikko

hmm true, true. whe should beat the whole game without beating a twenty master, then go through and sort of recognize a pattern of which courses they appear on.

that would help a shitload of people lol

It's randomly generated.
There's no set tracks they will appear on, since my 1st and 2nd gamesaves' logs for the twenty masters are totally different.
I'm only keeping a log of the sponsors (they don't change.)
Here are the locations/weater conditions of the last 5 I've met:

Spoiler:
Friday-1st Week
Rainy/snowy(Or sunny. I forget.)
Pro Sport-(I'm not exactly sure what course.)
Independent-Aso.
Sunday-1st Week
Rainy/Snowy
Velvina-(I'm not sure on this one as well.)
Speed Gear-Aso.
Monday-2nd Week
Rainy
Wanatabe Automobiles-Omote Rokko

Hope these help.

Intriguing.
Nice job on it.
It was a little hard to adjust to since I've been drifting the same cars over and over again, but it works.
BTW it works for most of the other Subaru STI's as well.
The Legacies are a different story.

No, in total, I meant.
Normally it takes me 3 tries to find out how it works, since most of my setups are changes to the ones made by why_spyder.

The Mazda RX-8 setup I created took at least 20 laps of Happogahra (uphill) because I like to have my setups perfect, and it wasn't perfect to begin with. (No offense meant, why. 0
