things that you hope are in GT5, that are unconfirmed

-tandem drifting battles
-real touge tracks
-tsukaba circuit(will probably be in but not confirmed), ebisu
-lead follow rules, up and down p2p battles(like initial D)
-weather effects
-allow wrong tires on different tracks. it was a lot of fun driving on snow/dirt with race tires in TXRD2 eventhough you average 40mph to prevent crashing, and probably won't want to do it competitively
-more D1/Super GT cars
-more customization including body work, wheel base, steering angle, decals, etc
-load your own music, built into the hard drive just because it'll be fun driving to eurobeat/jpop
-female driver models, just because it's more fun watching them after they get out of the car than the male ones.

More choice in used cars.
A Clutch buttion like in Enthusia
light Tune Like in TXD2
Buses (Y? Because it would be hella cool to take a city bus around Leguna)
Complex String (from GT3)
More Trucks.
False Starts (It'd be cool if you had control over it)

-body mods, including mirrors, kits, liscense plates, etc
-Complex string would be GREAT...luvd the map
-allow for Race-Tune from GT2...was a kewl feature to turn any car into a race-styled one

I forgot about Race tune. That would be cool, and also costum paint, and sticker options.

having a horn and headlight button for night battles would be pretty fun. Especially if it effects the AI, human rear view mirrors like in txrd2.

There will be plenty of SUPERGT and D1 cars, I hope for Ebisu and Oridos ridox supra, and the Top secret supra, JUN tuned R33 and SOME OLDSMOBILE AND BUICK FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I AM SO SICK OF PEOPLE THINKING THE ONLY MUSCLE CARS THAT MATTER ARE MADE BY CHEVY. Oh and a Cobalt SS, ariel atom, Bugatti veyron, I am fine without damage and without real touge. I do really hope ebisu is added though.

I had to put up with that in Engine Machining at college.

Personally, I just would like a wide range of customization and the handbrake in GT4 fixed (not that I plan to get a PS3 or GT5 but...).

I was born in flint michigan, arguably worse than detroit in the anti-import mentality. I like a lot of cars, but every muscle car guy i have ever seen just glorifies chevelles, novas, and camaros with the occasional (very occasional) guy with a mustang. You've seen one, you've seen them all. Chevelles and camaros are played out just as bad as lambo doors in my opinion.

ehh offtopic rant, :\

Oh i forgot to add , The gymkhana parking lot autocross thing with the cones, i hope we can set the cones up ourselves for whatever we want.. seriously.

gt5 needs Realistic clutch, smoke, burnouts, donuts, damage (all cars or nothing), it also needs some form of exterior customization. We also need to get rid of all the car repeats, like how theres eleventybillion skylines

I too like the specialty models of cars - even if it is just minor changes in exterior appearance.

From what I have seen on a YouTube video (so not necessarily the truth), GT5 will feature bodykits and such. Basically, any line where two body panels meet can be changed - so hood, fenders, quarter panels, side skirts, and trunk.... maybe even doors.

I would like to see a clutch, body customization, and upload feature that allows you to upload your own kind of gfx (like in 1320 legends.) Some one way mountain courses, an insane and diverse amount of cars... like in GT2 but 3x more. I think GT2 had like 500+ so lets shoot for 2k. H2H drag and drift events. The music thing rotary mentioned would be nice, photo and photoshop so you can edit the lighting, angle, focus etc on the cars we build and last but far from least engine swapping with compatibility only. I don't want to see v12s in a civic. I believe in GT2 or 1 you could literally swap anything into anything just never knew how.

Engine swaps in earlier games were all cheat "hybrids" using cheat devices. And the only reason the GT series has a huge car list is the eleventybillion different cars that look, drive and sound the same like skylines that i mentioned earlier. I beleieve one way courses are already confirmed.

Like I said I never knew how, stupid tommy and his cheats...Anyways It would still be nice to do simple and capable swaps. It would also be nice if you could purchase trade vehicles with others. You could do this w/ memory cards on GT3 i believe...

another would be to, um,

actually have a storyline rather than a story mode by itself.

Here's what I want:(besides what previous posters have said:)
Drag racing:
Sony, you already screwed up in GT2 with that, so I want it.
Drift racing:
This might help it become more mainstream... then maybe more peole will buy kaido...
Trade with previous games:
This might allow me to get my Cultus (from GT2) and 1864 HP Escudo (GT3) racing again.

Drag racing and Drift have been messed up in far too many games for me to even care, or hope for anything, that isent an arcade racer, to have a decent drift system, so things I want

Since GT5 has secured official NASCAR liscensing, the redneck in me wants Bristol and Talladega courses
But my Japanese loving side wants Twin Ring Motegi, Tsukuba is probably in

AND RED ROCK

I hope my favourite car comes back, 1997 Honda Del-Sol Vtec, and race tune, body mods, dont care so much about decals and the like, but race mods were ace in GT2. custom colour would be nice. proper ebrake physics, unlikely, but would be nice.

Car repeats are fine, but 80 skylines, when the only one that matters to me ever is the R32, makes me sad, because they could add a few more Silvia's, maybe a Maxima, and some of those giant sedans that were missing from GT4 (no gloria!?!)

Oh and animated pit crew pitstops, they were in the trailer, they better be in the game.

Needs drag racing with drag slicks and clutches and power brakeing and stuff.

As for drifting, clutch, less annoying tyre slideing noises.

Proper drag would be nice. How bout a 1G awd DSM? Now I'm dreaming. BATHURST is more than extremely necessary  . More VIP cars. Aristo and Chaser are not enough!! Touge would be nice. Either made up or the one at Ebisu Circuit.
Eunos Cosmo would rock. A Spec Miata club car. ITR sedans. Turbo's or S/C's for NSX. Photomode is required too. That is all I can think of off the top of my head. Ooh how about a V8 Supercar Holden to race against the Falcon. Some AMC's too. V8 Gremlin X, Javelin, AMX. The best American muscle cars made. One final need is a C50 Mirage Cyborg.
