Can anyone tell ive been super bored lately?
Heres my two cents.
TXR2 on the Dreamcast was the ultimate for me. Imo, it had the right balance of colour in the graphics to make it not as dark as TXR1 nor as washed out as 0,3 and that god awfull no good ITC that I hated with the passion of a thousand burning hatefull suns. I think TXR2 on a Dreamcast with VGA is the best looking TXR stylewise until Genki made Wangan Midnight on the PS3, which isent quite TXR (and nowhere near as godawfull as wmmt, sorry, i hate wmmt. most of you probably like it though), but it shows what TXR could be on a proper interation, and not ITC.
Plus the traffic density, randomness, and AI are amazing. In 0 and 3 the AI brakes early and cant choose a line, not so in 2 where the AI will outbrake you, often, (though theres the littler issue where walls dont slow them as much as you, but thats good for a challenge isent it? Don't hit walls kids!) They can dodge traffic competantly, most of the time, and the whole game, music, menus, presentation, design, roads, physics everything about TXR2 screams polished highway racing game.
Worst:
ITC. The presentation was horrible, the graphics weren't that big of a step up from 3 tbh, the highways were barren and lifeless, and there was enough rice to feed thailand for seventy billion years. ITC is not highway racing, its riceboy playground. And you can butcher cars in the worst ways in that game. I got an xbox solely for it, and three RROD's later and the fact it was one of three games I didn't have on my ps3, I sold off the whole lot for 1/3rd what I paid for it.
