I just got the handheld game Rhythm Heaven (Rhythm Tengoku Gold in Japan)
I have to say, its an addicting game, especially for a handheld... If i were to describe it in a nutshell, it would be warioware: Band geek edition.
The game itself comes with 25-ish games (after clearing the first twenty five, you unlock the second version of each level...er like "heavy" mode on a song in DDR), all of which have decent music and fluid gameplay.
The game is quite short...i mean i didnt medal/perfect each game (you either get an "ok", a "superb (medal rank)" or a "perfect"), but i cleared all 50 levels in about two days.
Evey "stage" has five levels; four games and a "remix" which blends all the games into one longer game... idk how to explain it..
but the cool thing, is that there's some cool mini games. my friend and i have been addicted to Coin Toss... its kinda hard...
I have the US version, which has a few dubbed songs/commands. While some may sound a bit corny... the dubbing isnt too bad (well it could be worse). The games that i wanted to stay the same from the JP version (from what i saw on YouTube) stayed unchanged in the US version, so i was quite happy.
The games are simple and addictive, but in the same way, very frustrating...i guess it's like WarioWare in that sense. It's relatively easy to clear a level, but pretty hard to medal/perfect one without some basic music theory/experience in this sort of game.
I am very content with it right now, but i can't wait to get Scribblenauts later this week
