Ya said that right. hmph. Damn game was so lame that after not playing it for a while, I didn't even wanted to keep it anymore. Therefore I sold that boring ass game. The only reason I really wanted TDU was because of the open world environment that is the Hawaiian island of Oahu and becase of some of the cars that were in it. Now that's what really fuckin' caught my attention; and, to be honest, Im glad I sold the damn game, ya know?

Heh, I had TDU on PS2 first, didn't get so far in it, bought it for PSP, got really far in it (Probably because I was on a holiday where I couldn't go anywhere...) and now I have it on 360. The reason why I wanted it on 360 was so I could get the bikes, but they handle so badly  Then again, was funny to watch a Lamborgini follow me right on my tail doing 200mph or so then I suddenly dived down a side road on my Kawasaki and he ended up crashing into a park

double post ftw...

well i got NFS UC for PS2 yesterday.... I am a bit disappointed, but it seems ok...

the graphics seem the same, if not worse, than in previous free-roam, pursuit styled NFS games. The road has this weird wet appearance...plus the city you're set in this time looks like a mix of all the cities featured in the NFS:U series... Plus there's a glitch on my version where the bottom part of the wheels ALWAYS appear to be "in the road" which has been a glitch for me on almost every NFS:U series game.

The physics engine is much more on the arcadey style....its decent, but like stated in nail's first post, its a bit too touchy...although i do like the drift physics a bit.

I started the game on medium difficulty....i mean, just to see how it is...and i have to say....the rivals must be set on "stupid"...i mean even someone new to the series can pick this up and play on medium and have a decent win record....

Like i've said before, it seems like EA is putting 99% effort into the next gen (360/PS3/partially wii) games....It is VERY apparent in this game. Damaging models? if i were to make damage models like these, i'd just take em out all together. We've had the scraping paint and broken glass for what? 5 years nao? I also wouldn't call a 4 man fight for first a "race"....but even the Wii version can hold up to 6...so i guess i'll have to live with that....

HOWEVER
i have to say this is a plus over pro street....
(1) ZOMFGWTFLOL the brake lights actually TURN ON this time
(2) i always loved the open world racing of older NFS series...although PS did have a unique and realistic approach...it was just done wrong

(3) body and aero choices are back....and well what can i say...they're the same as they were in NFS:C...which is a bit of a disappointment, but hey, it was done right back then, so it works relatively well nao...much better than the stylings in PS

All in all, if i were to rate this i'll rate it at a 6/10...but then again its just first impressions....

(oh yea, and i feel as if the game's relatively short...been playing maybe 2 hours and i already have 21% complete O_o...The TXR series is surpassing the NFS series...which is actually not that much of a surprise after i started playin TXR3)

don't get nfsuc for ps2, its the biggest rip off ever

The only new cars you get are the 240sx,gt2,koenigseg(sp?) and pagani.
The 370z doesn't count cos you can't use it in career( why??).
Even in the starting movie you see an evo x and in the story there are bmw's and stuff.

Last thing, it usually takes me about a month to complete the nfs games and it took me 11 days this time... 2 years for that!!!!

well i guess...plus my friends on the other forums said the wii version was clipped as well

i have to say, pursuits this time are harder....only for the fact that there are less pursuit breakers.

THE POLICE AI SUCKS!!!!

i ran a roadblock, and dipped into a parking lot RIGHT NEXT TO THE ROADBLOCK I PASSED and i escaped......wow i was like "ok....this is not even funny"

plus you can do over 190 MPH and pass a cop without them chasing you as long as you don't have too high of a heat multiplier

This kind of baffles me about what kinds of vehicles are chasing you. In Most Wanted and Carbon, what kind of police car chased you depended on your heat level. 1 was regular police cars, 2 was undercover police cars, 3 was state police GTOs, 4 was undercover state police GTOs, and 5 was federal police Corvettes.

But in Undercover, I'm seeing federal FBI Porsche 911s at heat levels as low as 2. I really do wonder what determines this. Not to mention the heat level doesn't seem to make much of a difference in the challenge of the chase. Meanwhile, you could definitely see an increase in difficulty with every new heat level in the older games.

You guys are right...the AI just isn't that good. I'm having absolutely no trouble keeping from getting arrested. Sure, they stick with you a lot longer than before and they're harder to lose, but they just aren't as aggressive as before. In fact we usually don't even hit each other unless I decide to hit first.

Although I will say it does make more sense that you can now take out any police car just by smashing it really hard. In the older games you could bang on the 1 and 2 level cops and they'd die pretty fast...but in order to destroy a Corvette you'd have to make it flip over. Which...doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Mostly because Crown Vics (well, their cars look like crown vics) have a reputation for being very durable....while the Corvette is pretty lightweight, so you think it wouldn't handle rough impacts too well.

pursuits end up lasting so long, that i WANT to get captured....

plus its more like i get chased and escape...and right before i evade, they put a car there...YES PUT...a car in front of me...like it doesnt trigger anything on the map......

chases taht are 15 minutes + are very common...they just aren't fun anymore...just tedious

I totally agree with that. This throws an annoying luck element into those missions where you have to destroy a certain amount of police cars or cause a certain amount of damage. You'll be about to get away, when a police car just pops up in front of you, and you're back to square one...and then time runs out.

i do have to say, the tollbooth races are somewhat challenging...

although i think it just depends on how high your cars are tuned to....

my Fully tuned R34 has extremely low speed, so it doesn't do well...but its my best car, since my GT2 Porsche is almost stock

OWOW.... i just finished the game yesterday....and i am just speechless...in a bad way

The game ended to a point where the plot made no sense at all...although i have to admit i did skip maybe one cutscene.....

The last mission was FAIL....i had to take out what's her name...and i tboned her and i practically finished that mission in less than 2 minutes.... what a way to fall flat on your face

ALSO i am most dissapointed in the fact taht in the cutscenes, they showed cars that were not in the game at all...

not to mention, the cars that i wanted the most, were in ProStreet, but were missing here..... that's like saying...OH in our NEW game we have 15 LESS, yes LESS cars than last year.....

Graphics were suckish compared to last years...or even to the TXR series, which is a 3-4 year old series.... Tuning was lacking, and limited....AI was just horrid....wow police chases were tedious...

if i had to rate this, id rate it at around a 4 out of 10....note that i am playin the PS2 version...

IF EA releases a new NFS game, i may not buy it because of this disaster....

not to mention, i finished career mode in most likely less than 5 hours....i havnt completed the challenge series, but i find no purpose in that....

There is no purpose at all for NFSUC... the PS2 version is an EPIC FAIL!! Practically, there's no fun to it. I finished it months ago and heck I don't care if it catches dust. I bought it for the sake of ramming the living daylights out of R35 cops... and all I get are a bunch of crappy Porsche GT2's that aren't even 4WD... suckish.

I read the TDU part as well and the only thing challenging there would be pitting your D class against an A class... against the same level? You could sleep through the game actually. I checked the net on it and owning property would at LEAST get you 100 percent. There are other tracks there that are only accessible via quick race but wouldn't count on career mode. Frankly, I played it for the following reasons ONLY:
1. The Skyline GT-R34 is there.
2. The McLaren is there (F1 not SLR)
3. It's Hawaii and hawaii = many mountainous roads
4. The rare british cars.
5. The women and avatars  ... expected that but it ain't there. FAIL!

Yea, well I completed NFS: Undercover earlier this month. Now, tell me why in the hell is the damn game still at 82% although I completed the damn career mode?XD

Yeah, well, I only got that piece-of-shit game [Test Drive Unlimited] for one reason: becuae you can cruise around an entire Hawaiian island. You can barely do shit on that game. Well, at least that's the case for the PS2 version! Man was I pissed! And as far as NFS: Undercover for the PS2, it's alright but it's too damn short! Plus, as I said in the previous post, I completed the Career mode, yet the fuckin' game is at 82%. Now, aint that about a damn bitch!!!!
