im building my cockpit so i cant drive it right now,

youve posted quite a bit of setups lately and id like to try a r34 setup, as mine don't seem to work good,

it seems unbalanced right now, but I could change my thought after driving,

what is the point for doing the brakes
F 4
R 6

as it seems that would upset the balance of the car going grip runs. do you grip as in "fast drifting" or like me with little slip at all,

i can just see issues with the setting like that because the rear is balanced for more over steer which is fine, but braking is typically only done while going straight, and the rear end might want to slide out some,

my advice is,

move the abs to about 3 and change the brakes to stock pressures, or even

F 6
R 5

once again my advice might be proven to make it worse, but i cant drive it atm.

I prefer to grip with some drifting, but i try to avoid wild oversteer. I will try out your advice and see how it responds.

4wd don't snap oversteer easily, so you don't have to worry about that. race tires are usually not prefered for drifting in anycars unless you got a lot of power.

u can drift with race tires, its just a more unpredictable compound, plus if your doing fast drifting there's not alot of angle, more of pushing the corner full throttle.

For the most part I liked your setup - definitely has some potential for a good GT-R drift setup.

I made some similar changes to the suspension as I have suggested before - when I find something that works I tend to use it over and over as a starting point because I like how the cars react. Try some of these changes if you get the time - definitely a good start for an AWD setup, good job.

Spring rate: +2 (Front), +3 (Rear)
Damper: +3 (Front), +2 (Rear)
Stabilizer: -1 (Front), 2 (Rear)
Toe: -2 (Front), 1 (Rear)
Camber: -0.15 (Front), -0.30 (Rear)
Wing Angle: 5

Grip setups are the opposite of drift setups.
More brake in the rear is what makes the car less likely to spin out.
By the way, your setup is more suited for drifting (that's because of the power and parts you chose.)
Even so, with some work, it can become great.
I suggest lvl.3 engine and turbo parts all around, (that's what works for my R32/R33 setups.) along with Why's suspension settings.

Rear heavy brakes actually makes a cars rear end looser during hard braking into a corner - basically it will put the car into position for a drift. Heavy rear brakes is no different than using a handbrake because they both slow the rear tires first - causing the back end to lose traction before the front.

the brake settings didnt make sense becuase the car is too heavy, the real point of doing that is to increase turn in abilitys in FF cars or under-steering cars, but the skyline is too heavy to use such a setting to its full ability, and how it would negatively effect the balance during braking, brakes are EXTREMELY important when i play because im using a wheel and i can control the breaks better, how do you spin out gripping XD!!!!. i said that brake balance because you want stability going into the corner, i know grip setups, and this car isnt on the verge of spinning i drove it on the touge showdown, i could only say it needed more turn in

I'm dividing this into parts to explain...
Green: The brake settings he currently has are DESIGNED to give more turn in.
A better ratio, though, would be 4 Front/7 Rear.
As you said on the bottom, it needed more turn in.
That's because he has too much power for it, and needs to drop the ROM down and change the parts to lower levels.
This, coupled with the current/modified brake settings, will make it better with the turning and will have more stability throughout the corners.
Red:
Skylines DO understeer because of the power ratio when tuned.
The brake bias reduces this, along with the power level and suspension.
I'd say some minor changes could make it better.
By the way, I also use a wheel (G25 model) and I agree with what you said:
The wheels allow for better brake control, but they also require mode delicate control.
Sorry for the eyeful...

i wouldn't run 7s in the rear, just because of the unstable loss of traction that might occur on a off axis corner, i try to fix understeer through the suspension since that's what causes the problem in the first place, i like my brakes stable, and my car stable, most of my cars tunes are very easy to control and stable, so that's what i aim for when building a car, but all in all, its preference of how you drive,

congrats on the g25! how long have you played with it? i just got mine 2 weeks ago

Anyway, I think this topic might be closing...
