Anyone heard of this for this game?

Quote:
he did the full race spec for the 240 "mileage trick" 1864 miles on US version and you get level 7 engine, level 8 muffler and level 5 body tune, as you know his version is the euro/japan version...

from here.

isn't that just the auto pilot trick were after a race you just leave auto piolt on after a battle for about 2 hour and rack up miles yeah i heard about it. It works better in TXR0 than in TXR3

I trired it on TXR3 and i only got 25 miles from 5 hr of auto pilot

I had heard of it for TXR3, but hadn't heard of it for TXR0.

It's wasn't a waste of time in TXR3, the mileage trick was used to rack up miles so you could unlock the engine swaps that only become available when your current cars odometer hits 1242 miles. In many cases you could get the engine swaps unlocked way before you even unlocked the last couple Stage upgrades for the stock engine. :D

You gotta be careful with this mileage trick. If you watch replay, you'll lose all the accumulated miles on the auto pilot run. I found out the hard way this morning when I should've earned around 400miles.

I got bored and used this trick as well. But I normally don't watch replays. So that's not a worry... But yea, an extra 700 mile on my S2000 is sweet. Hopefully I'll get about 600 or so HP, I need to build a hellish C1 car.

So does everyone do this trick right from the beginning of the game? Or do you guys wait until you get into the game some?

Are the upgrades unlocked only available for the car that's running or will they be unlocked for all cars?

Well, depends. The upgrades I think are quite costly(Haven't unlocked them yet) so it depends. But I mean look at Blood Hound. The guy has a 800+ HP car. So it might be wise to do it at some point in the game. But since I picked up my Viper I haven't had any problems so far, so I'm not sure.

Also, it only works for the car with the miles. It doesn't unlock it for all the other cars. But since this Auto-Pilot trick won't mess you up(Like TXR3's) you shouldn't have a problem letting your car run while you're asleep.

It really depends on what your objective is. If you wanna breeze thru the game, do it from the start. I personally don't enjoy destroying my rivals and prefer even matches or long grueling ones.

That said, I usually do this trick towards the later part (second half) of the game. You don't need to be fully upgraded and tuned to win against most of the rivals. However, some rivals accelerate like a rocket (final boss, some wanderers, etc.) and it helps to max out your car's performance.

Also, if you wanna set the best time attack records, you'll need to get this done since the added hp and weight reduction you'll get with level 7 engine, level 8 muffler and level 5 body does wonders.

Pretty much, although abfulg911 is a rocket(The guy seems faster then the Speed King with a better AI).

But yea, I just beat Speed King. Got the 911 and I'm gonna do the mileage trick for it. I also learned that Speed King's car isn't worth crap next too a Viper. Even if I tune it right I can't get it above 215(With parts from first half), yet when I raced Speed King I had a Viper that was pulling a good 225-230 on the Wangan. So I don't know why everyone says the Custom R34 is worth nuts. Maybe because it does well in the C1, meh.

Hmm, now you're making me think twice about the custom R34 GT-R (aka Mirage/Calsonic/Speed King's Skyline). I gave it a quick test drive along the C1/Kanjyo loop line and it performs really well. It's got a great grip on the road but I dunno how it'll be with full upgrades. I'm pretty sure it'll hit the maximum top speed of 263 mph in the game. The 911 turbo is definitely an awesome car. In TXR2, it demands impeccable driving. In this version, it should be easier to tame.

Yea, I remember watching a Video of someone driving the 911 on the C1, fastest thing I've ever seen. I think it hit 250+ a couple times, which is pretty fast for a C1 car. But odds are I'll post tunings for cars. Even though this game isn't TXRD2, tunings should still come in handy(It'll be about 2 days till I can have my 911 with 1860+ miles, but hopefully it'll be untouchable).

Hey guys, did you know the Japanese have a fancy term for this trick of fully upgrading your car? The "full tune" involves getting the strongest parts--engine level 7, muffler level 8 and body level 5 with this mileage trick and they call it the...........LPS or LOVE POWER SYSTEM. Interesting tidbit, for me at least.

I had decided to do the mileage trick BEFORE I even started the game, so I did it in Quick Race. Man, they drive slow now, I beat the game using the starting car I had, the Evo. No other cars, except for the Wanderers that require a special car.

Haha, when I wake up my R33 should have hit the mark for the upgrades. Here's hoping. Next I'm going to work on my EF8 - should be amusing having a monstrous little Honda to terrorize the C1 with. X3
