An Initial D style race based on Haruna's Downhill.
Who wants in?

Rules:
Any car is applicable for this race but... no Foreign cars allowed.
HP ranging from stock to 350 max.
Clear or cloudy condition, your call.
(Example: AE85, AE86, FD, FC, GT-R, S13, 180, GC8, EVO, etc...)
Your call on - other upgrades and time condition
TA Attack

Indicate your name, car, hp, time, wall hits if any.

if you wish to replicate some Initial D cars there, I can give a hand via the sample list afterwards; tuning would be up to you...

Toyota AE86 Trueno GT APEX Takumi (No sticker though) - panda white
plate 13-954
max hp: 256 hp
upgrades: carbon bonnet, level 3 muffler type 1, Watanabe Rims normal (black)

Mazda FD3S RX-7 Type RS Keisuke 1st Stage
plate 63-887
max hp: 350 hp
upgrades: Silver Start type Rims, level 3 muffler type 2
custom color: Competition Yellow
lowered ride height by half

Mazda FC3S RX-7 Savanna Ryosuke - white
plate 13-137
max hp: 260hp or 350 hp
upgrades: Watanabe Rims (black), level 3 muffler type 1, Full Aero
lowered ride height by half

just to name a few.
Oh, BTW, the closest rims for Kyoko's FD (RX-7 type RS) is Racing Hart CPF-Rtune the brown one with silver bordering.
Some though can't be 100 percent copied like the Evo 6, whose rear wing can't be removed and some are just close counterparts like the EK9's of Todojuku. God Foot's BNR34 can't be used here unless you wish to detune the car, then it's fine. Same goes for the 4th Stage Keisuke FD with the RE Amemiya Full Auto.

Red Minagawa Supra JZA80
God Death Blue NA1 NSX + GT Wing (not sure if Full Aero is needed; the NSX in the manga has the formula style hood)

ok, so we have to use a ID style car w/ less than 350HP?

I'd have to say, Wataru's levin doesn't need a kit..... x) even with the 350 cap, i can use my 4th stage RX-7...lol after a few weeks, i didnt use it anymore...only like 315 at max.

I'll try use a mercedes 190E V:I (lol Mogi's slaryman's car >.>) j/k

wataru's levin had a super charger in 4th stage. not sure if we can minic that in this game so i think we should stick to the turbo if you want to go with wataru

i'll probably go with a ryosuke or keisuke replica

Have you all played Initial Version 3 alot?
I have, I drive a Honda S2000...and i've beaten the game over 5 times already...and Shingo is HARD AS HELL to beat because his car is basically just faster than anything you will ever drive.

Shingo in ID3? That thing is running on hacks if lap 2 is what you're concerned about. The basic technique is letting him ram your ass, you might get a bit of boost, although it didn't work for me. But it's easy to beat him in a home course advantage car like the R32/R34.

As for Wataru, it's up to us whether to go with the Full Aero or not. But it will look good if we lower the Levin's ride height, then it'll come close to his second stage like. Since he mentioned in ID 4th stage that his Levin can reach 200 hp at the Dyno with the supercharger, then we could remove or not install the turbo then.

And it's 350 equal to or less than hp output.

Does it have to be EXACTLY ID related?

I have a Levin 3Door in conquest....its like Wataru's levin, but its grey ....

I also have a Trueno like ID...but i purposely made it a coupe.....


may I use these two cars?

Sure. You may. In short, when placing your entry, don't put a "(ID based car)" next to the car you used. Just make sure it's under or equal to 350. That's the only rule here. I added the list of Initial D look-a-like mods list for those interested in using them. I'm still planning on making a new record with a not-Initial D car. :mrgreen:

love my S2K....it's mostly weight redux....so it's very nimble...although it is a bit sluggish..only muffler and cooling system for power....

i was thinking about doing a run in my new Daihatsu Midget 2 (modeled after the one seen in Ex-Driver) but i ditched the plan when i found out it tops at 75 MPH

4:46 with about 20 crashes. i'm not used to using high powered cars on a course full of hairpins like haruna so technique was sloppy leading to more crashes. Since i've been training with cars under 300 hp lately. thankfully i completely a one without getting stuck. now i know i should probably start driving high powered oversteery cars again.

It has to be hacks...lol...like every other race you have after beating the game several times...except for Bunta, because there will always be one person giving you a tough time.


I love the s2k myself man.....frankly i'm having a hard time having to drift in it period because maybe I"m using way too much in the line of power?

@ Batou101, since you adore the S2K so much, hows say you use Joushima's S2000 for this challenge? Exclusive for you only. Engine specs? Up to you as long as it's within 350 max hp.

tip: focus on your underbody once you have the power down and ready. :grin:

my fd was 350ps since it's as close as keisuke's as it could be without knowing the little details like suspension and weight ddeduction. Kyoko's replica is hard to make since you dont really have a single turbo fd in this game. just like the waturu's 4th stage 86, since theres no super charger in this game.

i have a ryosuke mod but havent used it for this comp because i usually just do CA with it and it takes work to do a few ta runs and get a score i'm reasonably comfortable with and remember it to post.

i think i'll try a 130ps cappuccino. no weight deduction since i remember it was around 700kg

Got the list edited for you Rotary.
About Kyoko's FD, just get the new FD, choose the grayish black color and equip the CPF-Tune R Enkei rims (if I recall correctly), change the muffler, low level critical engine parts and just change the turbine after picking out a turbo kit. You got yourself Kyoko Iwase's FD. Sounds and runs like it too. I'll post my Kyoko mods when I get back to it.
Wataru's 4TH stage is simply all critical engine parts and a stage 1 or 2 turbo kit WITHOUT changing the turbines, air cleaners, nor intercoolers. And add the CF hood. Sounds like a supercharger too. Adjust the ECU if necessary.

when I checked out the Supercharger type, especially in GT4, It's classified under turbines and when I equipped it, it has the boost gauge.

ok after around 5 runs with the cappu replica.

5'00 10 wall hits, which puts it in 5th place.

i could have done better if i kept trying more runs since i only did about 3 and i was way ahead in my last run untill i locked the brakes and spun during the last corner which sucks but i think i'll eave it at 5
