Yes, Genki did hide a few hidden parts for your cars in the TXRD2. So far, I've only been able to find wheels, but there might be even more to find. Here's the photos of the wheels I've found so far.

How do you find these hidden parts anyway?

What I do is go racing at night, and beat a few different opponents (no set number, usually 4 - 10) and save the game while in night mode. Then I go to day mode and browse through the Used Car Lot. I look for any cars with aftermarket wheels and if they look like something I haven't seen before I buy the car.

I get in the car I just bought and go check the equipped parts to see what wheels they are.

After that I go to the Buy/Sell Parts section and see if the wheels are listed in the Buy area. If they are not listed I take them off the car and sell the car.

Or the easier way is to get in the car and go strip it down in the Equipment area of the Garage. Sell the car and get into one of your other cars. Go back to the Equipment area and go to where you would install wheels. If the icon for the wheel is all black (like in the photos above), its a hidden wheel.

If there is no cars with aftermarket wheels or with aftermarket wheels that aren't special, I just reload the game back to the night mode. I usually will reload a game about 6 times or so. If, within that number of times there aren't any new wheels, I save in day mode and repeat the process of racing at night.

Thank you. The funny thing is I really stumbled upon this by accident. The reloading trick is something I started doing initially to change my nickname the game gives to you. Your nickname only changes during the day so I figured that, by saving at night before going to day mode, I could possibly change what my nickname could be - and it works!

I would really be happy to find a hidden aerokit - such as the one on the Supra on the cover of TXRD2. :D

yeah, the one on the front cover seems to look better than the TRD one. the TRD one is okay. i wish they would have added maybe two more bodykits for each car. nice find tho BTW :)

Well, not too long ago I started a new game, as I wanted to do a better job of racing clean - and I wanted to see just how soon (if at all) I could get my hands on some hidden wheels.

On Day 16, I scored my first set for this new game - NS2 Python 2's. Needless to say, I'm quite pleased.

For a while, I was thinking that maybe that one game was a fluke - and somehow I just got lucky once. I guess lightning can strike again. ;)

Day 18, picked up some VPR R 2's on a maroon 240Z - what a find! I have been using the save/load technique - and it's paying off great.

Okay, its going on Day 22 - and I just finished beating 17 rivals at night (of Day 21). I went to Day Mode and see that its time for my name to change. So I check out the name and if its okay I go through the Used Car area to see if there's any good finds.

Well, this one time I checked out the Used Car area even though the name is a bit - eh. Well, there's a new set of wheels I haven't had yet. So I saved the game on one memory card. Will keep reloading the game until I get a good name and hopefully a good set of new wheels.

Well, after reloading the game 20 - 30 times, I couldn't get anymore hidden wheels to show up. So, I'll just run with this name and keep the one set of wheels I got.

The new wheels are GT-one 1's - and they came on a Civic SiR II EG6. Sold off the Civic.

To-date, these are the known hidden sets of wheels I've had:

Chrono 2
Chrono 3
GT-one 1
NS2 Python 1
NS2 Python 2
NT-R 2
VIPR R 2

We'll have to see if timberwolf_60 found any other sets.

Rotary that's great. Did you have to do anything special to get those - or did you just happen to find them?

I think I reloaded the save a few times at night, but that was just looking for cars.

They just popped up on a Mirage with a CF decklid and nought else.

Whenever I find a car with wheels - it has very few extras with it.

Found another set on Day 25 - after beating down the Slasher Last Leg on Omote Rokko.

The wheels are GT-oneR 3's and I found them on a Toyoto Trueno BZ-R AE1111.

The running list of wheels so far is:

Chrono 2
Chrono 3
Compe-2 1
GT-one 1
GT-oneR 3
NS2 Python 1
NS2 Python 2
NT-R 2
VIPR R 2

Day 26, finished beating everyone on Zao (except Absolute Emperor - I just got his invitation).

Noticed I was finally getting a AWD Nissan to able to buy (R33 GT-R) everytime I reloaded over and over hoping for some sweet cars in to go with it - and happened to get an R33 with hidden wheels on it.

This set is VIPR R 1's and they are sweet! Black spoke with chrome lip - put those on a dark purple R33 and you have a showstopper....
