As you can probably tell, I've changed the forum around a bit. I finally figured out how to use Subforums and such, so I have been trying to make a shorter main page by using them. What do you think of it?

Also, I'll be adding some games to the list since there is more room - like Wangan Midnight. If you have game suggestions please post them here.

The category names are long, I know - but I was hoping it might also make finding the right game section easier for those that aren't in the U.S. (if only Genki had used the same game titles all over.... ). If they are too much or just too distracting please let me know.

Any other suggestions that I haven't mentioned - please say something.

P.S. I will be going through the different topics trying to make sure I didn't misplace a topic in the wrong area. If I have missed one/some - please tell me.

I forgot to add - I've been getting all my information for the game titles from here, so if I have something wrong I probably don't know about it.

I really love the sub-forum sections. If there's one tiny feedback I may offer, it's to change the color of the fonts for the names of the games. :)

I will see what I can do about the font coloration - unfortunately I don't think I can change it because of how limited my customization is (of the styles, being this is a free forum) but I will definitely check it out.

The titles are a bit much for clutter and kinda confusing, but I really don't have any other ideas at this point how to do it a different way.

Yeah, both simulators and more arcade ones like PGR 4, maybe a racing game community

I understand what you're saying - as I'm sure many people on here play more than just the TXR-series of racing games.

My question is - what do we (as a community) want the focus of this forum to be about? A concern for me is that the focus may shift away from the series if we add in series like Need for Speed or Gran Turismo. Those two series alone are quite large and would cast a big shadow over the TXR series, in my opinion.

I would like more people to weigh in on this because I don't want to be making big decisions like this on my own. An Administrator I might be, but I don't want to act as a dictator. Maybe someone can post a poll up for a certain amount of time and get other's opinions.

Personally, I've got nothing against including other racing games. But since that isn't the main focus of this forum, perhaps we can create another section for 'other racing games'. That way we don't get sidetracked or derailed .

My other concern is there might already be existing message boards dedicated to the those other racing games.

You do have a point there zeleny, I mean thats why I use this forum and this forum only, because of the more close, friendly community  What also puts me off other forums is how complex most of them are, this one, I actually managed to create a forum signature, etc. as it was so clear.

It may be worth a consideration like you say, and I respect you can't make a decision on your own and straight away.

Exactly. This is a Shutokou Battle/Tokyo Xtreme Racer forum, so the main focus should remain just that.
A subforum for other racing games would be a good idea though, but you might want to put that under the "General" subforum, not the "The Games" one. Also an Other games subforum would ok too.

Something I just noticed, in the subforums you added all the names under which each particular game is known, but for Street Supremacy (US/EU name) you didn't add the Japanese name: Shutokou Battle: Zone Of Control

That is a game name that I was looking for but could not find. Thank you for the update - I will add it right now.

I just did a search and found this:

Quote:
2005 Playstation Portable edition designed by GRP (Genki Racing Project) with licensed Japanese cars. Its working title was "Shutokou Battle Zone Of Control", but it has been shortened to "Shutokou Battle". Weekly Famitsu rated it 31/40, while the original Dreamcast title received 32/40. This PSP edition has been licensed to Konami for an American release as "Street Supremacy" in early 2006.

Okay, for all you people that wanted more games - it is done. There is a section located in the General category, listed above Off-Topic.

At present I have three subforums - Need for Speed, Gran Turismo, and Forza. I can add more if people suggest such. Otherwise the whole Other Games forum is open for whatever.

Nice one Why, should attract people who are unaware of the TXR series, and hopefully encourage them to buy some of the games, seeing as TXR has some elements of those games
